About Us

Rooted in Nature, Driven by Purpose

Connecting People, Nature, with a Purpose

Web of Life is more than a conservation initiative — it’s a living, breathing ecosystem where people, animals, and ideas coexist. Located in the heart of Sri Lanka’s lush wilderness, we offer immersive experiences rooted in research, exploration, and sustainability.

To Protect, Educate, and Inspire

We aim to preserve Sri Lanka’s unique biodiversity while inspiring a new generation of nature lovers, researchers, and conscious travelers through hands-on experiences and environmental stewardship.

A World Where Humans and Nature Thrive Together

We envision a future where communities actively participate in protecting natural habitats, valuing the deep interconnection between wildlife, culture, and sustainable living.

Conservation First

Every action we take supports biodiversity and habitat protection.

Hands-On Learning

We believe learning should be immersive, practical, and rooted in the field.

Sustainable Tourism

We offer authentic experiences without compromising nature’s integrity.

Community Collaboration

Local knowledge and partnerships are key to long-term success.

Our Story

Born from a Passion for the Wild

Web of Life began as a grassroots project driven by ecologists, educators, and nature lovers who wanted to bridge the gap between scientific research and public involvement. What started as a freshwater species study evolved into a full-scale initiative — offering guided treks, volunteering programs, and conservation-focused stays in eco cottages. From tracking otters in riverbanks to identifying birds deep in the canopy, our story is built on wonder, purpose, and a desire to give back to the earth.
About Our Logo

A Symbol of Interconnection

Our logo, an intricately woven circular emblem, represents the sacred cycle of life — the interconnected web between land, water, air, and spirit. The curves within the logo mirror the flow of rivers, the spread of wings, the shape of leaves, and the harmony of ecosystems. It’s a reminder that we are part of something much greater — a living web where every being matters.

Message from CEO

One evening in Wasgamuwa, as dusk settled and my family’s laughter echoed through the trees, the vision for Web of Life came to me

A place that protects biodiversity, uplifts our village of 165 families, and offers a peaceful refuge from the chaos of modern life.

What followed was the creation of a multi-week program that reconnects people with nature. Explorers, students, and dreamers alike are invited to study the land’s rich biodiversity, contribute to sustainable community projects, and find deep personal meaning along the way.

Web of Life is more than an eco-centre — it’s a soul-enriching journey. I look forward to sharing with you the healing and calm it has brought to my life.
